01Background

Why we are consulting.

The national catalogue of vocational families was approved in 2025 and provided for a periodic review of exit profiles. July's technical forum identified three difficulties: how quickly profiles age in some areas, the cost of keeping workshops equipped outside urban centres, and the absence of systematic tracking of what graduates go on to do.

The draft out for consultation proposes a rolling update rule, a scheme of workshops shared between neighbouring schools, and a register tracking graduates at twelve and twenty-four months.
