The institutions that make up the education system have agreed a single calendar for collecting, validating and publishing education statistics. Until now each body reported on its own dates, which made figures from the same year impossible to compare without a methodological caveat on every table.

The resolution fixes three moments: a common enrolment cut-off date, a window for cross-validation between registers, and a single publication date. The Council's Technical Secretariat takes on the consolidation and publishes the series, with their methodological documentation, in the open data catalogue.

The calendar takes effect with this school year's collection. Earlier series stay published unchanged, with a note setting out the difference in approach for anyone who needs to compare them.
