A technical forum reviewed how well the current training offer matches the skills employers say they need.
The technical forum on technical and vocational education brought together specialists from universities, training centres and employers to review whether the catalogue of vocational families is still current.
The discussion focused on three points: how fast exit profiles age in computing and energy, how hard it is to keep workshops equipped outside the large urban centres, and the absence of any systematic tracking of what graduates go on to do.
The forum's conclusions go into the file for the technical education guidelines, currently out for public consultation.
