A new forum strengthens coordination across the education system
The standing technical round table brings together representatives of public education, higher education, vocational training, local government and civil society four times a year.
The standing technical round table on coordinating the education system has been established: a working forum with a fixed calendar and public minutes. It brings together the seats for public education, higher education, vocational training, local government, employers, teachers and civil society.
The round table takes no binding decisions: it prepares the technical files the Council later puts to the vote, and records the positions that did not reach consensus. That record is published with the minutes.
Its first work cycle will take on the transition from basic to upper secondary education, the point where the system loses most students.

Public consultation opens on the technical education guidelines
The consultation stays open until 30 September and accepts submissions from individuals, schools and organisations.
