Methodology note

How this indicator is built.

The definition, the formula and — above all — what the indicator does not let you claim.

01

Definition

Upper secondary students enrolled in technical and vocational routes leading to a qualification with a route into work.

02

Formula

The sum of students enrolled on technical upper secondary courses, by vocational family.

03

Disaggregations

Vocational family · Sex · Area · Department

04

Notes on interpretation

It is reported as a subset of upper secondary enrolment, not as a level of its own: a technical student is already counted in total enrolment.

05

Limitations

It excludes non-school vocational training, which is recorded in a different system.
